The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
